Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre is located within sight of the Frauenkirche and only a few minutes away pn foot. Its central position is favourable for transport facilities. Anyone, who wishes to be informed the history, the rebuilding work and life in the Frauenkirche, is very welcome here.

The film ‘Fascinating Frauenkirche’ is shown hourly in a rotunda, a circular viewing room, which can accommodate 101 persons. In the counter area, staff sell tickets for concerts, information material about the Frauenkirche and are happy to give information on a variety of questions.

What’s on Offer

Film Show (partially  with preferential entry into the Frauenkirche)

Normally, a film about the Frauenkirche is shown hourly in the rotunda. It begins 15 minutes before the hour (e.g., 9.45 a.m., 10.45 a.m., 11.45 a.m. etc and the last showing is at 4.45 p.m.).

The times when the film is showing coincide with the times when the church is open, so that a preferential entry into the church is possible. Visitors are then picked up from the Visitor Centre and lead to the Frauenkirche. Please note that after the showings at 10.45 a.m. and 11.45 a.m. no preferential entry can be permitted as a matter of principle, because of the midday devotions. The visitor service can give you information about the actual times and the availability of seats. Depending upon whether you attend a showing with or without a preferential entry, it costs 2 or 4 Euros per person.

Tickets can be bought in the Visitor Centre for the musical events in the church in 2008 and for all of the events for the first half of 2009.
