The ensemble frauenkirche provides the musical accompaniment to the chamber choir and is an orchestral body in its own right. Its field of activity covers the arrangement of concerts, spiritual music on Sundays in the Frauenkirche and the performance of cantatas during Sunday services. For a variety of events, the complete personnel of both the large orchestras in Dresden, Staatskapelle and Philharmonic, are available. The basic line-up consists simply of string and wind instruments which can be broadened as the need arises.
