The history and reconstruction of the Frauenkirche, architectual questions and issues related to aspects of the preservation of monuments and historical buildings are dealt with in a forum which is organised by the Society to Support the Frauenkirche Dresden. In this "Thursday Forum" also related topics dealing with community services or art history are discussed.
Since 1998, more than 125 lectures with reknowned scientists, thoelogians, artists, and politicians have taken place. Additional panel discussions on current ethical questions especially attracted a younger audience so the idea of the Thursday Forum is being passed on.
The lectures usually take place on the last Thursay of the month at 7.30 p.m. at the Lower Church of the Frauenkirche. Access is via Entrance F. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
Did you know that ...
organizing this series of lectures costs about 2,500 EUR a year? That's why the Support Society is grateful for all contributions, e.g. help with advertizing upcoming events, donations or business partnerships.
