Admission to the Frauenkirche during Open Church times is free

Concert Tickets

Box office at entrance D (usually one hour before the start of the event)

Tickets for the Ascent to the Dome
Tickets to climb to the dome directly at admission at entrance G
Vouchers can be ordered online (note shipping times)
Groups are asked to contact the visitor service prior to their visit

Please note:Free access to the Frauenkirche is important to us. Nevertheless: Even if access to the Frauenkirche is free, the church’s continuous preservation and the shaping of the diverse life in it is not. That is why the Frauenkirche Dresden Foundation asks for a donation at the entrance or exit. Thank you for your support!

The Frauenkirche has seven entrances:

Door A: Entrance for guests with reduced mobility
Door B: Exit for the Open Church (March-October), access to the film screening
Door C: Entrance for group tours, access to the galleries for events
Door D: Entrance to the main room
Door E: Entrance to galleries during events
Door F: Entrance to the lower church during events
Door G: Ascent to the dome

(Daily changes are possible)


Luggage Notice

Suitcases, other pieces of luggage and large bags may not be brought into or stored in the Dresden Frauenkirche. This regulation applies to the times of the Open Church as well as to church services and devotions.

The Dresden Frauenkirche is located in Dresden’s Old Town on the Neumarkt square.

By Public Transportation:
The Frauenkirche is easily accessible by public transportation.
Tram 1, 2, 4: Altmarkt stop
Tram 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12 / Bus 62, 75: Pirnaischer Platz stop
S-Bahn: Dresden Mitte stop
Train: Central station (approx. 20 minutes on foot)

By Car:
The Neumarkt is a pedestrian zone in which there is no parking, with the exception of a few designated disabled parking spaces. However, there are multi-storey car parks and open-air parking spaces in the vicinity:

The Frauenkirche is open to everyone. We warmly welcome people with disabilities.

General information

  • As a historically rebuilt building, unfortunately not all areas are accessible or usable.
  • People with a severely handicapped ID will be admitted at entrance A.
  • Severely disabled people (80% and upwards GdB) receive a price reduction of 50% for their concert ticket and that of an accompanying person (on the seats provided for this).
  • A special toilet is available.

People in Wheelchairs

  • Disabled parking spots are in the vicinity of the Frauenkirche.
  • Handicapped people can use an elevator at entrance A.
  • Inside, a slope leads into the nave.
  • We ask that groups with several people with reduced mobility be registered.
  • Official approval for a maximum of 12 wheelchair spaces is available for events in the main room. No wheelchair spaces have been approved for the lower church, so unfortunately no access to the events there can be made possible.
  • The galleries and the dome (spiral ramp, lantern) are not accessible.

Hearing Impaired Guests:

  • The nave is equipped with induction.
  • Guided tours in sign language are possible on request.

Visually Impaired Guests

  • Das Mitführen eines Blindenhundes ist gestattet.
  • Der Zugang zu den Emporen und der Kuppel ist leider nicht möglich.

People with Photosensitive Epilepsy

  • We would like to point out that lightly flickering light sources are used in the galleries.
