We are the Society for the Promotion of the Frauenkirche
Our sponsoring society has about 1,700 members in Dresden, Germany and all over the world. Our office is located in Dresden, not far from the Frauenkirche.
Many members are involved in one of our currently ten German regional Circles of Friends. In addition, there is the British "Dresden Trust". Together we form a network to support our work in Dresden and also provide the platform for local activities and events such as the annual Frauenkirchentag.

What connects us
Unparalleled enthusiasm and deep emotion are triggered by the rebuilt Frauenkirche among visitors and all those people involved in its reconstruction. It was brought about by a unique initiative. Committed active advocacy for the in many senses precious cause of the reconstruction »Building Bridges - Living Reconciliation« has made many people, men and women, young and old, become members of a now worldwide congregation. They all have sahre:
- civic engagement on one's own responsibility
- an active advocacy for peace and reconciliation
- the desire to ask questions about the meaning of our lives in a secularized environment
- the conviction that music reaches our souls in a way that words can only do to a limited extent.
